    6.5 MAX Bushing Dia ?

Rich recommended running the 6.5 max through a .314 first and then your 6.5 bushing. I could only find a .313 locally and it worked fine. Then run it through a .29x. I'm using a .293 for mine to get the .002 neck tension. I went slow with the .293 and haven't crushed any yet.

Where is Wide Open Country... for Long Range Coyote Shots???

Just my experience, but coyotes around me (Eastern Wisconsin) don't like hanging out in the open a lot. If I was gunna go for a set up like your talking, I would do some road scouting to find a route they are taking from their bedding area to a feeding area that takes them through a large...

    6.5 SHERMAN MAX

Sounds good. I have a lot of h4831sc. Would that be more suitable, and if so where would you suggest I start? Also have some reloader 19.

    6.5 SHERMAN MAX

What is a good fire forming load with n570 and 147s? I ran 59-61grs last night on my 20in. 61gr showed 2669 fps with no pressure. Never used N570. Using 6.5 adg brass and cci250 primers.

I didn't see anywhere if you were using a bubble level. A shot not level can really screw up your group too.

    Shooting long range help

I like to cheat as much as possible on my range. There is usually at least one wind somewhere. Use cheap marking flag every hundred yards or so and watch it to see if there is any wind. As stated above, dryfire practice is great especially with expensive mag rounds. A chronograph will be...

Best Night Vision Scope for under $2000

Correct. I thought it was a lower res scope, but was wrong. It is a 384 but... There are two issues for me with this scope. The fixed focus is a deal breaker. I've never been hog hunting (full disclosure), so I'm basing this off coyote hunting. I need that feature for longer shots. The...

Best Night Vision Scope for under $2000

Pulsar is where is at for thermal. I have an ATn xsight (digital), and a buddy has the thermal version (lowest res I think it's 320 x 240. I don't think either are worth the money. I now run a pulsar xq50 monocular for spotting, and have two armasight gen2 hd clipons. The res and quality on...

    Long range backpack rifle

If your going to stick with savages, I would recommend investing in some tools to do your own prefix barrel swaps. That is how I started out. Savage builds are nice because they are really easy to swap out barrels. I would get a light weight chassis and rebarrel one of your existing long...

    Rough Savage 111 action

I have done 3 savage builds and one Stevens build and had only one like that. Replaced all bolt components with ptg after market parts, and swapped a bolt from a different model 10 that was smooth. Nothing fixed the issue. If you didn't place perfect straight force on the bolt it would skip...
