Correct. you will need the tools to change the barrel out and go/no-go guages to set the head space. Sounds like a lot but it is actually pretty easy.

Well it depends on the intended range you plan to take deer. I just mention that mostly because a lot of people don't know they have options other than 223 or 6.5g
