I have killed 3 bulls with this bullet in my 7mag and they have performed from 75 - 480 yds. I am at about 2950fps. with a 1:9 twist.

Been studying OnX. Not used to hunting areas with so many roads.

So I drew this tag and have never been to the area. I am thinking about dirving down there next week just to get a feel for the area. I am used to hunting off horse but this does not look like a horseback hunt. Anybody have any advice on where to start?

You could hunt 62 without a guide. Not much winderness in that unit.

Why does the turret look like it has a white ring?

I usually take 3 shots and then let it cool. But that does make sense. It is frustrating to have 2 of the 3 shots even touching each other and then the third off as much as an inch. I always thought it was my shooting. How cool do you let it get before the next shot?

I like to eat what I kill so I prefer behind the shoulder.

I have shot elk and deer from 75 - 480 and have yet to have a bullet not penetrate. I will say i never try to shoot any animal in the shoulder and I can not understand why anyone would.
