Time to go up a notch

No such beast as a "big boy" round being 'cheap' to reload 😁. If OP was doing one "for fun", cost SHOULDN'T be an issue. One of the real 100+ year old Magnum calibres would be my idea of BIG BOY and FUN 😊. 416 Rigby, 500/570 Express, etc!

I am a happy camper today!

Same as New Zealand. You want it, you pay the asking $$$$. A couple of local reloading outfits that compete for price, but not for volume. Am envious of the variety of options available in the US *sigh*.

    What I have…….and what I need?

Don't forget a registered PLB (Personal Locator Beacon). New one's are light, easy to operate and cost effective. These save a lot of hunter/hunter group lives here in New Zealand.

    New Zealand Hunting

No sign - YET - for a booster 3rd shot here in New Zealand. Still getting ∆ infections in our largest city - 45 today after 8 yesterday. No country in the world has managed to control ∆, so it'll be a while before hunting here is opened up to overseas hunter's.

    Feral Donkeys ln Australia

@Aussie Hunter Steve One of my 'bucket list' items. I have some mates from my working days in the mining industry, who would gladly take me on one of these hunts. Until the 'travel bubble' opens up between Oz and the Shaky Isles, just a pipe dream 😕.

    Feral Donkeys ln Australia

Try again. When I lived in Western Australia, was introduced to farmed croc meat as a steak. Wow - it was very rich. Roo needs, like venison, to be cooked rare. Have eaten horse meat elsewhere - equally as good as steak IMO. Tried emu once - too dry and stringy. A bit like overcooked turkey...

    Is a turtle a varmint?

Otherwise known as genital protector 😁. Used by cricket batsmen and others wishing to protect the 'family jewels' - for we gentlemen.

    Is a turtle a varmint?

We have freshwater eels here that can be quite agressive. Ball boxes used to be part of my gear 😁

    Is a turtle a varmint?

More like 40 years ago. PM was David Lange - Rhodes Scholar and extremely popular with the voter's. Didn't sit well with the US Administration of the day. Our NZDF still buy US sourced weaponry, so we're aligned in that respect with Aussie and most important Asian countries - South Korea, Japan...

    Is a turtle a varmint?

Oops - sorry to OP about us taking over his request. Current Gov't is realigning with the US/Aus on Indo-Pacific issues. The nuke issue was an in-country political move by the Gov't of the time. NZ still takes part in exercises with the ANZUS partners as well as sharing intelligence with 5 Eyes...

    Is a turtle a varmint?

New Zealand and Australian mates are always discussing (arguing LOL), which country is "Godzown". Favorite chat that includes Rugby Union, Rugby League, Rugby Sevens, Cricket, Basketball, etc. 25+ million population (Australia aka Oz) v 5.1 million population (New Zealand aka NZ). NZ are World...

Western Australia. Silly me - should've realized it meant Washington in your country.:-(

    Jetboil fuel canister

Jet Boil is very popular here in New Zealand. With the virus issues (distance, cost), supply will be an issue for a while.

    Is a turtle a varmint?

I lived in WA for nearly 30 years, before returning to New Zealand. IIRC - NW coastal indigenous communities took the Green Sea Turtle for food. In the SW of WA, the smaller freshwater varieties (Hawksbill and similar), were protected.
