I didn’t weigh the stock prior to putting it on. With the stock, rings, and scope it comes out to 8.8 lbs on a bathroom scale. Scope is 22.4 oz and the rings aren’t anything lightweight. Savage Ultralight is advertised at 5.8 lbs.

I ordered an unfinished Boyd’s stock for my ultralite. Finished it myself and had it bedded. Cheaper option but it turned out nice

Hornady is making 6mm ARC brass. GA Precision has it on their website, just not currently in stock.

Easy to load for as well. Works well with several powders - Varget, H4350, Staball, Shooter’s World Precision and others.

Another vote for 6 GT. Easy to load for, Alpha and Hornady brass available. Feeds well from AICS mags without modifications.

They stopped making the fieldcraft rifles

I have them and my experience is very similar to yours. A definite improvement but didn't gain a ton of room. Scopes are the big limiting factor. I have not tried any different arrangements yet, so I don't have any recommendations outside of your observations here.
