Concur. All I see available is RL16. We are fortunate as .280AI loaders that loads in this cartridge can be developed with more than a few powders with impressive results. IMR 7828ssc is hard to find presently.

Big Red Machine probably best if you don’t hand load.

Has anybody noticed how much accuracy (if any) has been gained using the tipped version vs the non tipped? If there is improvement in accuracy, I’m assuming it’s farther down range. Also, do the tips add to the B.C.? I’m getting such great accuracy with the non tipped HH’s. Thanks for the input.

Concur. IMR 4831 great in 140’s. Can’t find 7838ssc. When you have a “good” load, that’s all that matters. Send it downrange!

IMR4350 very accurate in my .280AI with 140AB’s and H4831sc very accurate with the 160AB’s. H4831sc and 160 AB’s would produce 2880ish fps out of my 24” Bartlein where 23 and 26 I was over 3K fps with sub moa. Sometimes I struggle to give up .25” moa for speed. It’s all mental 🤪 but fun and a...
