I had good luck with H1000 CCI 250 with the Amax. Loaded IIRC 79 ish grain it was a compressed load. But it's been a couple years since I re barreled to 338 Edge. The H1000 was very temp stable though. Edit: This was with a 29" 1 in 10 twist 5R Kreiger barrel. Remy 700.

I may try it in my .338 edge because Retumbo and H1000 are harder to get than uranium. No idea where to start on load development. Probably start at 89 Grains and work up. I seat mine out to 3.900 inches if I can find a node at around 2800 FPS ill be thrilled.
