I bought a savage ultralight in 280ai for my boys to grow into. 22” proof barrel loves 162 eldx and reloader 26 gets us 3005mv and 1/2 moa. Under 6lbs easy button! It has shot several recipes under moa as well.

Why did they have to go back to ZEISS ?

175 elite hunter or 180 vld bergers with retumbo should be all you need. Fed 215M primers.

They are not nearly as sensitive as vld’s. I shoot them in my 284 win with .040 jump but they have shot good in 2 28 noslers I did load development on and they were different and didn’t seem to mind where I set them. Great bullet with great terminal performance and different yardages.

So I had a factory sendero stw and shot the 180s out of it fine. 78gr H1000 cci250 primer and coal of 3.66 velocity was 2950. Low es and grouped great out to 1k. My brother in law killed a great bull at 960 yards with it. That was the farthest kill. The 180s are a great Bullet imo.

I’ve had a stw for a long time, and my brother had one before I had one. We have always reloaded for them. If you intend to shoot 180s or 195s then a 28 Nosler is the way to go. My 700 action is milled for the wyatts 4” box. I just put a 26” 8 twist proof sendero on it and kept it a stw because...

So I decided to turn a 257 accumark collecting dust into a 7 Saum. Proof 1-9 twist, problem I’m having is I can’t seem to get the saum case to feed properly. Tried several modified followers with no success. Any suggestions?

I have 2 284win and one likes H4350 and the other prefers h4831sc. Both 26” and shoot 168 Berger’s. CCI br2 primers for both. The one shooting 4350 likes a .120” jump and puts bullets thru the same hole. The other likes only a .020” jump and is 1/4” gun. The 168 Berger is a great hunting bullet...
