    Reloading/work bench ideas

definitely reload indoors, store components inside as well. These products are very safe unless you have a large fire in the room. Your powder if stored outside simply by setting the jugs on a shelf will absolutely suffer from humidity and temperature changes which would make weighing...

    33xc or 37xc

Thanks, good to know...just a guess but I'm pretty sure that wherever Re26 is a plausible choice, using v560 instead would provide a better fill % and more velocity. The cutting edge mtac 352gr bullet isn't a super high b.c. bullet @ .432 g7 but I've found that when loaded to the sealtite band it...

    33xc or 37xc

The Re26 is a good bit faster than v570,much closer to H1000 than v570. What's your charge weight with the v570 with 352gr ,377gr 407gr? I'm running the. 250 freebore...what coal at those bullet weight combinations? Also, have you tried retumbo, 8133 or Re33? Thnx!

    33xc or 37xc

Has anyone actually tried to do load work ups for the 37xc using Re26 or Re23...viht560 or v565? I realize the 33xc needs a bit slower powder b/c its bore is smaller, but with such a wide range of bullet weights it seems like powders slower than H1000 would work well with the heavier weight...

Magazines that will fit coal of over 4.5"

spoke to stiller about the 408tac and if possible to get a one with a. 580 bolt face, specifically for a 37xc build & as of a month ago he told me they don't offer it with that option. Who knows, if he gets enough people asking perhaps they would consider doing a few and see if they sell. I went...

    37XC

Why would you want to shoot those larger calibers at 1,000 yrds? A 6mm offers extremely good ballistics at that range and with a fraction of the powder/recoil. Not to mention a plethora of excellent high b.c. bullets to choose from.
  7. H59

    37XC

I'm talking about 2,200 - 3,400 yrds...not 1,000 that's not even close to a mile. The high b.c. bullets aren't even being tested at those distances

    37XC

And the initial testing with the 375gr badlands bullets went how? Did you find the slightly heavier bullets didn't give you the performance you wanted? A few of The heavier 400 plus grain bullets offer quite a bit better b.c.- .500 g7 b.c. is phenomenal performance from a bullet but Litz is...

    37XC

With the case capacity & bullet weight I'm surprised that H1000 offers superior performance over slower burning powders, but I've been told that from one other person as well. Did you try any re33 or even re26? The re26 is very close to H1000 & offers better velocity. How about any other bullets...

    37XC

If the H1000 rate powders are working out better I'm sure v560& v565 would be really good as well

    37XC

Are u finding the faster powders like H1000 are giving you better velocity and s.d.'s with the 350gr-405gr bullets than retumbo, 8133, v570, re33 burn rate powders?

    6.5 SS (Sherman Shortmag) Q@A

I wouldn't usually chime in on such an off topic comment but I am. Adamjp truly seems as if you cannot accept any attempt at answering your questions with real world factual data. Nothing has been up to your standards and for some reason you have always attacked the designer of the cartridge but...

    6.5 SS (Sherman Shortmag) Q@A

I can vouch for the barrel life being quite good. I'm on my 3rd barrel now and was able to get 2000 plus from my first one(bartlien m24-1/8- 26") didn't run it hard at all shot mostly 147eld-m at 2940fps - 2960fps...now that barrel was shot out when I pulled it but I hadn't had much fps fall...
