Used a 200 grain accubond on a 9’ brown bear out of a .300WSM. Bear was hard angled away at 148 yards. I put the bullet behind the last rib on the right side. Angle through chest cavity and exited between left front shoulder and neck. Complete pass through. Bear went 75 yards and died quick.

I had a Caldwell also. Same results. Constantly inconsistent readings or no reading at all. I gave it away and bought a Magnetospeed. Inconsistent problems gone. I get readings every time now. The guy I gave it to hated it also.
Recently purchased a ruger rpr in 6.5 creedmoor. Primary use is long range prairie dogs. 3-700 yards. 1-8” twist. I have I IMR4350 and H4350 powder. Looking for any sweet load recommendations.
From best to worst: copper is by far the best. It dissipates heat the best and there is almost zero corrosion. Next would be galvanized steel. It’s heavy and harder to plumb. Doesn’t dissipate heat as well either. Third is black pipe. With compressed air there is always moisture. Rust actually...
