I may have the opportunity to hunt coyotes at night, over bait, with the use of a green or red light at a distance of no more than 100 yards. I have an AR in 204 Ruger topped with a Zeiss 4.5-16x50 that is used for varmint hunting. Would this scope be ok for night hunting or should I consider...
Sorry about being so vague. He wants a rifle for long range hunting, whitetails and elk. Less than 1000 yards. There are so many good options out there until you factor in the fact that he doesn't reload. Now he will be dependant on factory ammo. I have reloaded for over 25 years and never...
Hey guys thanks for all of your help. The surge to buy AR 15s was insane but I was lucky enough to purchase an S&W MP 15T. I will shoot this a bit then decide whether I need to make any significant changes. But right off the bat the trigger has to go. Any opinion on the ACOG or EOtech for...
I am interested in buying my first AR to be used for coyotes out to 300 yds. I was looking at the RRA ATH but was wondering if I could build one cheaper but with the same 3/4 moa accuracy ? If so, what is the secret to AR accuracy and which componets should I use for a diy ?
I own a very accurate long range rifle, in 7mm wsm, that was built by Kevin Rayhill of Nebraska. He highly recommended a benchmark barrel to me prior to the build so I went with it and could not be happier. As for a sales pitch, consistent sub 1/2 moa accuracy !
I also have a Savage 7mm wsm built by Kevin Rayhill that shoots awesome. 66g of Retumbo behind the 168g Berger VLD shoots 1/2 groups. You may want to try working up loads with other powders. Good Luck
Just finished a long range build in 7mm wsm. I would like to try the cutting edge bullets. Does anyone have any load data that they would like to share?
I had a custom Savage rifle (7mm wsm) built by Kevin Rayhill c/o Stockade Guns. He guaranteed me 1/2 moa accuracy and delivered! Kevin specializes in Savages. His customer service is great and he usually answers the phone. If you have to leave a message he always calls you back even on the...
I just completed some work on a fiberglass stock and the entire stock is as smooth as glass. Prior to having the stock painted with cerkote I wanted to give it a uniform texture similar to an orange peel. Does anyone know how I could accomplish this ?
