    Suppressor wrap

I use the Bowers Griptastic silicone suppressor cover. Difficult to remove and holds some heat but for hunting it’s perfect. No laces and trim to length.

    Fatboy tripod

With tripods and shooting sticks, a rear support I find is critical for stable standing shots. A trekking pole works well for this. I mostly use my Caldwell dead shot magnum field pod for standing shots needed to get above the prairie grass. It doesn’t have separate rear support but the very...

Anyone ever make their own hollow points?

I believe Fusion bullets are heavily plated then struck for uniformity not cup+core bonded. It would be difficult to drill a concentric hollow point in these soft points. As another suggested, Enlarging the meplat with a trimmer might achieve the same goal with the added benefit of improving...

    GLFA 300 win mag

Impressive at a reasonable price it seems. Would you headspace reloads on the belt to ensure function or would it run well headspaced on the shoulder like I run my bolt 7mm mag?

Blue Wonder. The BEST bore cleaner??

using CLR on your barrels will void the warranty for several manufacturers - not sure how they would know it was used though.

    1 person+gear 4 season tent/shelter deciding

It sounds like you need 2 tents, one for backpacking and one for stove tenting. I am not aware of one that does both well.

What ballistics app now that strelok is gone

For my purposes all the ballistic apps calculate bullet drop acceptably. The attractive thing about Strelok pro is the reticle view which gave a picture of your specific scope crosshairs with a dot showing the aim point for the range and wind you selected. I would screen shot the image and save...

    Glass bed modeling clay

Silly putty will flow if it gets warm, non-drying modeling clay works fine. I use Hornady one shot case lube aerosol as a release agent.

    Clearing brush to set camp?

How big is the tent? Get a chain saw mill and cut some planks to build an elevated platform (only needs to be high enough to clear obstacles). Also bring in some heavy duty landscaping cloth and earth staples to keep vegetation from growing up under the platform. Other advantages are dry tent...

    Brake kleen for carbon?

I use brake cleaner for powder residue in actions - i’m careful around optics as I believe the cleaner will damage lens coatings.

    45 ACP on Brown Bear.????

I have a Springfield armory .45 A1 and a 6” Anaconda .44 mag. I’m carrying the .44 if bears are on the menu.

    Better Groups At Distance

This is easy to demonstrate now with the advent of shot marker systems that can be set up in series.

    Factory seconds

Has anyone done any analysis on “blem“ bullets? or do any manufactures explain what constitutes “blem” Aside from color? what Part of the manufacturing process did these bullets fail that makes them ”blemish”? it seems that these questions could be easily answered. presumably there is some...

    Opinions for modular stock

Like B4B said, metal chassis suck the heat out of your hands and face in cold weather.

I need some help from the reloading gurus.

It depends on the facility at which you plan to shoot. An inexpensive optical chrono is fine in many cases if you can mess about in front of the bench. At places where it’s hard or unsafe to get to the chrono, like busy public ranges, the magnetospeed is much preferred.
