ok this summer coming i'm thinking of buying a 50 bmg. single shot would b fine for my use. I would like to know a good starter with a decent price, so when i begin looking i have a better knowledge then what i see them for on sites. Any info would b helpful. thanks

I was reading an artical and it says this is the best rectical for small targets at long ranges. Are they, or should I just stick with my duplex. And what scopes offer this and is the price worth it? Thanks
sry mist a sentance... I had to remove the shims because they both shoot 9 or so feet over the target at 100yds. used 3 different bore sight. my personal and 2 at the dealer.
I have a 111,and a 116 both during bore sighting had to shim them just to get it close to what the bore said. I purchased each a yr. or so apart and on both i had to remove the shims and but the both seem that the elavation is still cranked kinda high. but i still have more room to adjust. both...
for the money the best scope i baught was a sightron. I baught a 6x24x42 for $347 out the door and I treat it like a old hunting gun (mean i dont treat it as well as i should)and it stays on and the clearity is great
I do not own one,but a guy I work with owns a bushnell 1000. Only complaint I heard from him is that as soon as the batteries get just a little week it goes nuts on the distances. Meaning in shoot same place twice might be hundred yds different.
