I shoot the ML II savage. My load is 40gr. of accurate 5744, 45 cal. hornady 250gr HP/XTP, MMP sabot, the best I can do at 100yds is 2 1/2 group and this is on a lead sled, I would really like to get close to an inch if possible, if anybody sees what might be wrong or knows of something that...

I shoot factory loads,( federal premium), I thought HSM might be the best factory load I could buy. I'am sure my optics are'nt quite strong enough plus I have a heavy reticle not good for longer shots, but works well after sunset. Thank Y'all for helping out on this.
