I shot only two different bullets. Both were Hornaday, the 55gr. Vmax, 55gr. Jacketed BTHP. It shot well out to some distance on steel, closer on paper. I don't remember the loads. A better bullet would probably bring even more accuracy out of it.

I have a 26" .223 Bull Barrel that Benchmark chambered for 75-80 gr. Amax's. I use the nut with it. I shoot it for 300-600 mid range FTR. I've shot quite a few relays in HM scores.
I went with the title to the thread. If I was choosing another cartridge other than the two mentioned in the title, 6.5x55. Because of the action, brass availability, performance.
