I was shooting a 6.5 wsm pistol and he was shooting a 300 win mag rifle. we were not shooting over water but it is low pete ground.

A friend and I were shooting the other night, started at 200 to make sure all was good. It was switched to 400 in a different spot and we were both 7 inches high. It was dead calm and the night air was starting to come in real cool and we were shooting over ground that had the sun on it all day...

I started out because I cant use a rifle where I deer hunt but wanted to shoot out to 600 yards. Now I am just hooked!

Definitely spend it and get the extra power as well. I bought a nightforce from cs gunworks in 8-32 and it is superb.I think I like it almost as good as the s&b

I tried it but will stick with the heavy shot as I hunt the horicon marsh and it gives me a little more reach!

I have one of hollands FFP scopes and I will tell you it is hard to beat because you can't make a mistake even in a rush. Pricey though
