About 6 inches, yup, 6 inches. Had a twelve gauge in my hands, and walking through an area of outbuildings on the farm, I stepped on a board and a rat popped out. I didn't even think, I pulled the trigger with the barrel less than 6 inches from my shoe and the rat. STUPID!!! But I survived and...
The Sig 220 in 45ACP is like a laser in my hand. They make a 227, which is a double stack 45, which I love. They make a 220 in 10mm, which I love..........so where the heck is my 227, double stack 10mm??????? And I want it factory ported!!!!
The stocks have a bit more drop than the 700 series, since they were originally mostly used with iron sights. Bolt clearance with a scope can be an issue. Great guns though.
I am easy. Would love to take an Elk. Any state. Would use my WWI 1903 Springfield. All factory except a new. taller front sight blade.
Still the original 30-06 caliber.
I'm too old for all that "crap" in a scope. I know the term "crap" is not a true statement, but that is what it amounts to for me. Heck, I only warned up to variable power scopes about 30 years ago. Man I'm getting old!!! I just don't care for optics that require batteries that go bad. Having...
Remington 552BDL, bought new around 40 years ago. At 25 yards I could not get a bullet on paper. I had the rear sight hanging so far out it was almost falling off. Sent it back to Remington. They ended up sending me a new gun to my FFL dealer. Took a while. Finally found out the barrel had been...
I often hunt with iron sighted old military or cowboy guns. Worst surprised me. I never even kept it long enough to take it hunting. I spent 10 years lusting after a good small ring Mexican Mauser in 7mm Mauser caliber. Took it to the range one time. I have never been kicked that hard by any...
150 Winchester 45/70 unprimed brass, new in bags, about 30 more loose. MTM ammo box, Hornady #4500 .458, 300G Interlock HP. asking $150. Trades considered. images show some live rounds, they will NOT be included. Located in Nebraska,.
Glock 20C is a winner. Factory ported so very little muzzle rise. Felt like a 9mm with 147 grain ammo. I am now considering the new S&W M&P10 M2.0, custom shop edition. Also ported. LOVE 10mm.
Found a lightly used Beeman Kodiak Magnum. Made by Webley in England. They call it the Patriot. Barrel-break action. .25 caliber pellets, Still have to dig out my pellet stash. I owned one a long time ago, but then got into PCP airguns. Didn't think I'd miss all the exercise of barrel cocking...
