Ditch the clay it’s a mess to clean up. Use silly putty, buy the big egg shape from amazon. Epoxy doesn’t stick well to it and it’s easier to get off then clay

Wrong, they are the same, with minor tweaks to the action threads, bolt release etc. bottom metal shoul be the same length. Look at ptg DBM for a longer length box setup

I have the flexible version and i wish i bought the ridged version, When i have a barrel in the lathe and I'm rotating it to look at the chamber and throat i wish it was more stable. the flexible works but like i said the rod would be better for examining a barrel in the lathe.
