I set guns up for people for long range shooting. Every Savage I have done thats 5 yrs old or less is a shooter & most straight out of the box. I hand load for them all so that make a big diff. Last one was a mod. 11 22-250. 1/2 MOA or less. A savage 110 in a 243. also 1/2 MOA or less. 22-250...
IF your not useing a bullet comparator to measure each bullet depth that could be your problem. Bullet depth is more important that grns of powder. When you find the right bullet depth by ojive it will most likely shoot the same even with one grn higher or lower. That is at 100 yrds. Still lots...
Everybody to ther own opinions but I will say from over 25 yrs of reloading and the little I have learned..... Bullet seating depth is THE MOST CRITICAL THING!!!!!! Im not talking MOA groups. Im talking 1/2 or less MOA groups!!! Also you have to go by ogive!!!!! Tip to base means nothing because...
That is your starting point. Now load a couple at that depth to shoot and start backing of .005 at a time you will most likely find the sweet spot with 40 thousands.
They are the same. Check out HTG silencers. Expensive and have to be registered. Small calibers are very quite. Larger calibers are a bit louder but still make a huge difference.
They may shoot left right or up or down. No way of knowing until you fire them. I have had some shoot over 1 inch off just by moving the bullet 10 thousands.
Different loads will shoot differently. Some of them may be close but they will most always be a bit different. Even the same powder charge and bullet will shoot different when seated to different depths.
the newer Brownings may be throated normal but the older ones werent! To touch the lands the bullet had to be seated to a much longer oal. I had 3 different 300 win mags and couldnt get them to touch or even close and fit in the mag. I even milled the mags out as much as possible and them still...
I just set up a 243 with this same bullet. This Savage 11 shot best at 20 thou. off the lands and 46 grns of H4831. Shoots a1/4 in groups at 100. When starting with a new gun I load 2 each at touching .005 .010 .015 .020 and so on out to .040. If two touch I load two more and see what happens...
The sendero will shoot great! I would never reccomend factory ammo!!!!!!! It will still most likely shoot any factoy ammo 1 moa if its the right weight bullet for the twist in the barrel,. If you reload for it it will shoot as good as any you can buy. No need to buy after market barrels/when...
