The bullet weight is for it to calculate kinetic energy from the velocity reading. Had mine since Oct, best thing for me since sliced bread ..........

I carry a 22/243 in the Ranger every day checkin' cattle. It works reeaaallly well on crows from 50-450 yards ....... I was glad to see Midway put the 75gr Amax on clearance for $77 / 600

Midway has Norma USA 26 Nosler brass $127 / 100 and Hornady .224 75 gr Amax $77/600 . After I loaded up on these I didn't need to look any farther ...........and that is what I'm tellin' the wife ...lol
