Cutting Edge Bullets, never heard of them. Have you used them or know anybody that has? How they perform on game, accuracy? WOW, on paper they are outstanding, thank you for your help.
Thanks for posting, I have been working on a load for my custom rifle since this summer. The custom ammo that came with the gun was not good. It would shoot the 168 Bergers (which the gun was supposed to be made around) only after it was warmed up. Cold bore shot never hit in the same spot...
Thirty years ago rural Ca. was the land of milk and honey, now it is something else. The problem is that when Ca. starts something, overtime it tends to ooze to the rest of you. I hope Texas has enough room for me when they secede.
I have searched through some old posts. I read about several copper loads but they weren't shot from a 1 in 9 twist barrel or I wasn't sure of their twist rate. My STW loves 180 gr Bergers, but I live in Ca. where I must use copper bullets for hunting. I really wanted to get the Barnes 168...
I have a new custom lightweight 7mm STW built on a Rem. action. Its 5.5 lbs. (6.75 with scope) its Jewel trigger set at 2 lbs. My problem is that when I dry fire, the gun moves. When the trigger breaks it doesn't just vibrate, it jumps. I assume that it is just a product of being so light...
