Thank you for your response! Why go with 30x though, when a guy could go with the 25x-50x, and get the best of both worlds? Just the cheaper entry? (Did I mention I don't know much about optics? :) )

For what little it's worth, I do like to see pics/descriptions of issues people have. That way, if I encounter something similar I can better self-diagnose my own gear. Plus, I LOVE to hear about customer service (*hint* *hint*, OP). Good CS has significant impact on my buying decisions. Brian
