Check the grand vista hotel in parachute. I stay there when I hunt that area and it’s pretty cheap. I’ve stayed there two years in a row now, and I’ll stay there next time I get a tag as well.

If you’re looking for a cheap, semi lightweight option, go with the magpul. I was hesitant at first but it works great. I’ve had it on many extreme backpack hunts and was very satisfied with it.

I can’t say enough good about Berger bullets. I shoot the 195 EOL out of my 28 nosler and it has absolutely hammered everything it’s ever touched.

Yeah we were there in early October. Very hot the first few days then rain and snow on the last few days of the hunt.

Have you had much success with the deer and elk out there? We didn’t see any. Just a bear and two goats. I’d love to figure out the deer and elk in the place. It’s a great excuse to get out there and backpack.

Not a crazy cold weather hunt, but a sheep hunt. I took the crispi Briksdal MTN GTX on a sheep hunt in Idaho in 2023. Offered plenty of comfort and support.

I have the EBR7C MIL reticle in my strike eagle. Like what was stated above, MOA is going away. I feel that MILS are much easier to measure while making quick corrections in my reticle. If you are debating on getting a MIL scope and changing from MOA, do it. Never hurts to try.
