    25 06

I love the Nosler 100 gr. Partition over 50 grains of IMR-4350.

    6.5-06 vs 6.5-284

I have both 6.5-06 and 6.5-284. It's probably just the rifles, but the -06 shoots much better than the -284. I haven't been able to find a great load in the 6.5-284, while my load development in the 6.5-06 was easy. Keep in mind I settled on 130 Nosler Accubond for the -06 at ~3150 fps...

    Hello from NC

I am also just outside of Asheville, in Lake Lure. Welcome, and let’s go shoot!

    Winchester model 70 375 h&h

Stay the course. The .375 is a great round and I think you’ll like it.

Reviews of newer winchester model 70

Following. I just bought a new M70 Super Grade light maple in 264 Win. I haven’t had a chance to make up some break in loads but the thing sure is pretty and a delight to hold.

    Full length sizing trouble

When I’m using One Shot, I put 30 or 40 pieces of brass in a gallon size ziplock bag then spray in the One Shot, then mix the brass in the bag. Let them sit for a half hour and then start sizing. The ziplock can be used several times without problem.

Is it just me or is there no link to the story? Also, can’t find it by Web search.

How close are RL17 and H4350?

You were ruining this forum with your absence. Glad to see your … mug.

270 Winchester, 6.5-06, or 25-06 Fast Twist Deer Rifle

I’m striving for the entire 30-06 derivative family, only missing the 338-06 to finish the collection. Of these, the 6.5-06 is my current favorite. 25-05 has some pizzaz but not quite the punch of the 6.5 or 270. My 280AI is a close runner-up and I have developed 160 gr loads that run with my...

    Reloading prices poll.

Be thankful that there are people still able to pay current prices. Without this cash flow, your LGS or even big box sporting goods store can’t cover overhead on lower volume and will fold or, at the very least, discontinue shooting sports. Empty shelves produce zero margin.

Pass through or Expended in Target?

Right. Tuck it in behind the point of the shoulder. That’s funny. .308 230 Hybrid at 3113. Faster than the 175 SMK at an astounding velocity.

Pass through or Expended in Target?

Makes sense now. My lightest .243 bullet is 95 grains at 3100 fps. 4 Mulies, including a hog, 4 pronghorns, and all pass through.

Pass through or Expended in Target?

What are you shooting them with that you have recovered 42 bullets? I don’t recall ever recovering a bullet from a couple dozen mule deer.

Your favorite cartridge based off .30-06?

I’m shooting and reloading 25-06, 6.5-06, .270, 280 AI, 30-06, and 35 Whelen. My current favorite is 280 AI, but maybe because it is my newest and lightest rifle. I still have a spot in the safe for a .338-06, but then what would I do with my .338 Win Mag?
