So would the kestrel 1000 be a good addition to the BR4? I mean since the BR4 can solve the rest of the equations, a cheaper kestrel should work correct?
I agree. I have the straight version and have ran it side by side with a Swarovski at dusk on deer at 2 miles away. Not a Swarovski but for the price difference it is definitely worth the money. I would say the Swaro was better but not twice the money better. It might buy you an extra 3...
Yes it does! We have had several over 185 on our places. Once even went over 200" before he broke off. I missed him with a bow. The neighbor managed to kill him a few days later with a rifle.

I have not hunted there, but I have been on the tour inside the high fence. Saw some really nice bulls. Since then, I have been there several times hiking outside the high fence. We usually see just as many elk doing that as we did on the tour. Actually the biggest bull I have ever seen...
Butch is a great guy and runs a great shop. He really knows how to shoot.
He also builds some outstanding long range guns out of his shop. We used one this fall shooting deer at over 800 yards. My buddy has one that he has used to take mule deer at over 1700 yards!
