    A most INSANE auction.

I was at an auction last weekend and 500 rounds of 22lr went for $220. $75/box 9mm. I didnt stick around long with idiot buyers like that....pretty sure I wasnt getting any good deals that day. Buyers dont get screwed at auctions by sellers, they get screwed (out of a good deal) by other...

    Build vs buy

My approach was I bought stripped lower, lower kit, complete upper from then put it all together. I liked doing that so I knew I had everything I possibly need to be able to sit down and put it all together. Now with the experience of having done it once I feel like I can actually make a...

    Any Texas People?

I'm down in La vernia, I'm set up for 100yds on my place, and I found a lane I can clear out and reach 200, but 1000 would require some really understanding neighbors lol.

New member beating the 6.5 PRC horse (Black Friday deal)

I'm a huge fan of savage....they aren't heirloom quality for sure...theres way better looking rigs out there, but for the price and the typical out of the box accuracy they're hard to beat. My favorite moment was outshooting a relative with my $300 savage 22-250 grouping 1/2moa, vs his $1000...

    DIY Carbon fiber barrel?

I watched a video of a guy shooting a group, then pull the CF barrel and smash a cinder block to pieces with it, spin it back on and shoot the same tiny group....that's what got me interested in CF more than the weight savings

The reason we anneal brass cases.

That makes sense and I've heard differing arguments about whether the alloys truly burn out, but I would say why risk it....so perhaps maybe the flame color change should be timed, then stop just short of that?

    260 in a 6.5cm chamber?

Kinda seems like a good way to stick just your toe in to the wildcatting waters. Might not necessarily be inventing anything new or improved but it sure makes it easy to try.

    260 in a 6.5cm chamber?

I might have to see if I can find a takeoff for cheap and give it a try...

    260 in a 6.5cm chamber?

That's why I started a different thread to be able to discuss what you mentioned outside of the original thread you posted in.

The reason we anneal brass cases.

The flame changing colors seems to happen right when the appropriate temperature is reached. I was actually advised when first getting into annealing to watch for the flame to change to orange and that's when you're there. I've watched several videos this week of folks teaching annealing...

    260 in a 6.5cm chamber?

This comment popped up in the latest manbun thread and got a little attention, but then passed over...but it interested me. If I understand correctly, the 30degree shoulder is what all the hype is about in the creedmore package so this seems like a cool idea...but I know nothing at all about...
