The build has been on pause savage replaced the gun after a new bolt and barrel didnt fix it... been too busy running my HVAC business this summer to send it to the Smith to have the new Krieger barrel threaded and chambered

New update today from Savage so even after a new bolt and new barrel the gun is condemned and not repairable and they are going to call me to replace it

My gunsmith said the belted magnums are notorious for improper throats and are far too tight for spacing

Status update for you guys... so savage has replaced the bolt and all parts in it... they found burrs in the chamber recut the chamber and the throat fired it last week and could not get the gun to perform even after that... so they are putting a new barrel on it not sure if they are going to...

I am quick to not condemn the h1000 because I am seeing pressure issues with imr7828 mild extractor Mark's at 63.5 grains and significant at 65 which is max safe load data... and the hornady precision hunter factory loads expected to be at 2975fps with a 24" barrel!!! Its far far exceeding this...
