I shoot 16 in 30-06 pushing 150’s and 300 WSM pushing 180’s. I think its a great temp stable powder.

RL16 is one of the best most consistent powers i have used but it will not match RL17 in the velocity department, at least a 50fps loss.

As far as a good replacement..I don’t know why 16 wouldn’t do as good or better. I shoot a lot of 16 in a couple 6mm’s and 270 win’s...

Other than temp sensitivity is 16 a good replacement for 17 with ~velocity numbers? I have a fair amount of 19 and less than 2# of 17...

I use Ultradyne mostly and currently have 1 on an AR6.5PRC. Recoil is like shooting a 22lr.

What cartridge (s) and bullet weights have you found this powder good for? Seems like a good fit in 6.5gren, but tell me more
