    Bullet Choice for 1:9” 6.5x55

Norma used to use M96 actions for all of their pressure testing. It's a strong action, but like everything else exercise caution and good judgement. Most American 6.5x55 ammo is loaded down compared to European ammo due to some M94 actions still being around.

    Bullet Choice for 1:9” 6.5x55

I have a Tikka 6.5x55 with a 1:8 twist that shoots the 140 Gameking very well, but that's not the bullet I would pick for 600 yards. Berger has a stability calculator that will give you a good idea of how stable the bullet will be. https://bergerbullets.com/twist-rate-calculator/

    Bullet Choice for 1:9” 6.5x55

I have a Tikka 6.5x55 with a 1:8 twist that shoots 140 Gamekings very well. I think you would be ok with those. But, that's not the bullet I would pick for 600 yards. Berger has a stability calculator you could use. It will give you a good idea as to how stable the bullet will be...

    700 rem clone(s) trigger suggestions

I put a Timney Calvin Elite in my 700P a few years ago. I really like it.

My bolt is hard to open

I recently had the same issue with my 700P in 300WM. There was a small rough spot in the chamber that the fired brass would get caught on. My gunsmith was able to clean it up and the rifle runs great now.

    Yet another DIY bedding question

Thought I would share my last experience bedding an action: Remington 700P .300WM with parkerized finish. Clear Kiwi shoe polish as a release agent, two coats buffed to a shine. Devcon 10110. Thought everything went beautifully until I tried to take the action out of the stock the next day...

Thank you all for sharing your experiences, knowledge, and opinions. I think I will stick to vibrating in walnut husks after sizing and brushing the inside of the neck before charging. Larry

I apologize because I am sure this has been covered before, however after two days of searching the the forums I thought I would just ask ..... Have any of you had issue with the wet stainless pin tumbling causing problems with consistent ES or SD, "cold welding", etc. Looking at previous...

    Wyoming Area 81 for antelope?

Cagfd101 and anyone else interested, I reviewed the draw results and the areas that had more tags than applicants last year are 8, 10, 15, 17, 19, 20, 23, 24, 29, 102, 109. (I may have missed one or two) From there, I just looked at onX map app to see which areas had accessible public land...

    Wyoming Area 81 for antelope?

My middle son and I are planning an antelope hunt in Wyoming this fall. We are looking for public land with a decent chance of drawing tags with a reasonable chance for him to kill an average buck. I am planning on just getting a doe tag. Would area 81 be a good choice? Or what area around Cody...

Best aftermarket trigger for a 700P.

Instead of sending my rifle in for the recall on the X-Mark Pro trigger, I decided to upgrade it with an aftermarket trigger. Which one do you guys recommend? I'm looking at the Shilen, Jewel, or Rifle Basix right now, but will take any advice you have. It is a .300 WM used for long range...
