    Best case lube!

I just used some WD-40 to (accidently) neck size some 280 Rem brass to 257 Roberts. The lube worked fine, my glasses... a solid fail. Such a multitude of products we can use, I'm not limiting myself to just one. If I have a jar of Crisco on hand, that's what I'll use. Maybe even some Brill...

    Best case lube!

This is what I use - just a little bit on the fingers, rub it on - works great. I dislike those sticky waxes and ultra-heavy oils. To clean it off: a little brake cleaner on an old towel, roll 'em around and I'm done.

    Altering a scope base

I cut mine back with my cheap'o 1" belt grinder then Cerakote them. Precision not required, just a nice clean consistent edge. No GS consultation needed or additional expenses. Maybe it's not the belt grinder that's cheap... :)

What is the the most flat shooting cartridge yall can think of?

I'm doing load development now for my 257 Roberts AI with the 115gr Berger specifically for long range Coyote zapping. It isn't exactly flat shooting, but I have a Sightron STAC 4x20 scope on it and want to practice my dial-ups and wind calls. I'd suggest not using the TTSX and look at one of...

Someone wanted a picture of my hunting rig

That's a cool rig! Did you remove the wheel stud on the rear axle to save a little weight?

Hammer bullets coexist with Cup/Lead Core bullet loads

So this thread has me thinking about HBN coating all my bullets - including the mono's. Has anyone coated their mono's and observed the results? As I rarely clean down to bare metal, my "go to" c-c and mono loads appear not to affect one another as my barrel baseline is semi-fouled. I...

    140 bulldozer 2's in 280 ai

I've had excellent results with H4831sc, RL-19 (my favorite for 140 - 168gr pills) I constantly use the Nosler and Barnes load data sites for powder and charge weight reference, they're excellent resources. I want to try some of the VhitaVuori N1xx series powders next, they're much cooler on...

WTB - 280 Remington Finish Reamer

Thanks - I like to have my own reamers, I tend to set barrels back and fiddle a bit. It's my wife's money... :)

WTB - 280 Remington Finish Reamer

I have an old Mauser pre-fit barrel that needs to be reamed a bit deeper. If you have a decent finish reamer that you're willing to part with, please let me know. SAAMI spec is desireable. I could use dies, and a go/no-go gage set as well. -thanks!

    Unis Ginex and Aguila Primers

I read someone's post lastnight about his primer comparison testing -which included WR, CCI and I can't recall the others. I beleive he found the WR primers being almost the same as CCI 200. They were close enough for me. My WR primers arrived an hour ago - they measure .003 taller than a...

    Unis Ginex and Aguila Primers

I hope you have a better experience than me! I've read a number of posts that note they're difficult to seat - that was me too. I thought about trying the Fiocchi primers but decided to try the White River Energetics LR primers instead - they arrive today. They sound pretty good from reading...
