House Proposes Ban on 50 BMG

You left out, Grenades, RPGs, AT4s, Claymores, CL-20 and HMX for their boobytraps, and C-4 in a pinch. They have the money and the contacts as I said before to buy whatever they want, they don't need people at a local gun show in Bubble Gum Texas buying it for them. 😬 Just my 0.2 Cheers

I Know This Is LRH... But What Is The Shortest Distance You Have Taken A Live Target?

    1.666 yds with a crossbow! that's not a shot, it's a subway stabbing in a crowded car. 🤣👍 Cheers

House Proposes Ban on 50 BMG

Ok... but you have to read between the lines here, anything .50 cal makes them go crazy because they don't know the difference in many cases. Cheers https://vpc.org/regulating-the-gun-industry/criminal-use-of-50-caliber/

House Proposes Ban on 50 BMG

You would think by now these so-called experts, the dumb smart people would understand that the cartels can and do buy illegal weapons from all over the world including weapons we sell to friendly countries. I'm pretty sure they aren't going into the Dallas Fort Worth gun shop(s) and buying...

Weatherby .224 Magnum Mark V Varmitmaster.

It looks like Midway USA might have some brass, I'd buy a few boxes and look for dies if you're a reloader, this stuff is never going to be cheap and there is no alternative(s). Back in the day I saw this coming and picked up about 40-plus boxes of new brass when it was something close to...

    Historical long range shooters.

I also think Army Sniper Sgt. Ed Easton in his shoot-out on the crashed Huey used the same model PVS-2, on an M14... I think that's right??? Cheers

    Historical long range shooters.

I can't really say in Chuck's situation, I've used the AN/ PVS-2 in the Army on both the M14 and the M16 with nothing more than their standard flash hider and never found them to be a problem. Yeah, if you put enough light on them they'll blink on you, Chuck may have had the PVS-1 but I don't...

    Historical long range shooters.

Rotten, Good on your father, be proud. Sorry, I think you're thinking of Army Sniper Sgt. Ed Easton on top of the crashed "Huey" at night... a great story by the way. U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Adelbert F. Waldron was the top sniper for the Army in those years...

    Historical long range shooters.

Yeah, Chuck was a fun guy to hang with and a heck of a Salmon fisherman. I also had to good fortune to meet Gunny Hathock a few times over the years before he passed... both were just super nice guys and great Americans. Oh by the way any of the guys here that's ever used a PVS-2 will tell...

    Historical long range shooters.

Well, let's see, USMC Scout Sniper Chuck Mawhinney, M14 with PVS-2 Nam "the river crossing" 16 headshots in 30 seconds at night, aggregate the yards with hits and time for score and distance, winner 😉 Chuck was a very fine gentleman, sorry he's gone. Me, my son, and Chuck....on the range. Cheers

    Cartridge poll for curiosity

I started LR with a .308 Win. It never seemed a problem, but.. that was quite a few years ago, today... I think something like the 6XC might work just fine, of course, there are others, but this one is a fine cartridge to learn the LR game off of. Just my 0.2 Cheers
