I've got Sparten adapters on all my rifles and run the long version bipod. I really like it. Also carry trekking poles and use the Wiser adapter to make shooting sticks for sitting shots. It has worked out really good for me as well.

I personally believe that the biggest problem is everything is owned by too few players and no real competition. For example just look at what happened with Blackthorn 209. No competition and in return the bottle volume decreases and prices more than double. Its greed plain and simple.

Like you I bought a Zeiss 6-24 as my first high power scope but also found the lower magnification limiting. Now all my scopes have at least 4x or 4.5x on the bottom. My favorite is 3-15 or 3-18. I can do all I want to do with that range.

I really love the 15s but if your 10s are not up to par I believe I would upgrade them first unless you are primarily a Coues hunter. Good solid 10s or 8s are always going to be used.
