375 yards white tail doe 358 Norma Mag 225 gr Barnes TSX

Worst was a 7mm WSM, although in a BAR, not a good example. Easiest 358 Norma Mag w/ 225 Barnes TSX and 275 PP Woodleigh w/ 78 gr. RL19 for both and shooting clovers!

I have a Ruger M77 Hawkeye, shoots everything from a 140 to the 185 RDF great, I prefer the 160 through 175’s. trigger will get done soon, but great rifle and very accurate.

I use 300 WM brass and resize, shorten, and anneal. Makes for one heck of a lot of fun,

I had a 358 NM built a few years ago, and talk about fun, cool, and filling a gap. .5 moa w/ 225 tsx barnes and 275 woodleighs, great velocity and will drop anything in North America.

Hardest was a 7 WSM in a BAR, couldn’t get groups under 3”, figured it was the action, many easy ones, 6.5x55 swede, 257 Bob, and my new favorite is 358 Norma Mag, RL 19 w 225 gr Barnes and 275 gr Woodleighs along with 250 gr Hornady Interlocks w/ IMR 4350 all clovers.

Am currently messing w/ a load w/ 275 gr. PP Woodleigh RL 19, 78 gr to 81gr, all compressed. Will tell what it does after test loads are shot.

Last years deer load was 78 gr. RL 19 w/ 225 Barnes TSX at 2970 fps, compressed w/ no pressure signs, landed shots on 375 yds, and 275 w some meat dear, fantastic caliber that puzzles the majority of people I mention it to, with a brake it is like shooting my 280 Rem w a 160 partition.

Absolutely, I do all of my own reloading, testing, bore sighting and hunting. I enjoy every bit of it also. This is what makes the hunt for me, the knowledge of everything my rifle and I are capable of.

I now have a 280 Rem, and it bulls over anything you shoot at w/ a 160 gr nosler partition at 2800fps

I love the boring ol' 270 Win also, have had 5 or 6 of them, and there is always someone who wants it when I get it to where I like, great guns and always looking for another.

Absolutely agree, built a 358 Norma Mag, and brass for it is near impossible to find and horribly priced, up size 300 wm brass push shoulder back, trim, and anneal to help brass last. Love the rifle and the process.

257 Roberts, 280 AI, 358 Norma Magnum will take anything on this side of Earth. 😜
