That’s good to know. I haven’t used Hammer bullets but I have a good friend that just bought some. Why is a clean barrel so important with these bullets over a Berger for example

Reading these messages I’m confused. I’ve always been taught having a fouled barrel was a good thing but I see several comments here about deep cleaning the barrel. I have several precision rifles that are extremely accurate that I’ve not cleaned since the barrel was broke in.

I was able to get a few hundred 210g VLD as a backup but don’t really want to burn the powder to dial in a new load if I don’t need to. I’ll be glad when this shortage is done

I appreciate that. I run a 208g Hornady ELD-M or Berger 215g Hybrid. But I haven’t been able to find them in a long time

I shot my buck last year at 800 yards with a 208g ELD. Heart punched him. I’m getting nervous though. Can’t find the projectiles anywhere. I might build a twin but in .308 since the lighter bullets are easier to find
