I used the 140 TTSX, or maybe the 145 LRX, in a 7 WSM and they shot great. I never shot an elk with them but I’d trust them 100% 500...

Yes, one can make it work, but it is not ideal for LRH/S - 175 Grand Slam (G1=.436) vs. 175 Berger (G1=.656), especially beyond 600Y.
