Pros
The TargetVision Hawk is easy to use and setup. It comes with a laminated quick startup and App Guide. Syncing my iPhone and iPad was easy, and the TargetVision Hawk works with iOS 7 and iOS 8. I did not notice any difference with either software. I also tested an Android phone with the TargetVision Hawk with no issues.

The Hawk allows you to view your scope feed from your shooting position. You can use the App to interact with your target. You can mark your shots, blink your shots, mark your groups, and even store live videos and photos with your spotting scope. After setting up the eyepiece mount (which may take some time the first time you use it), you can still adjust the large zoom knob without removing the mount. The camera is a separate piece so you can rotate the eyepiece mount (to zoom) and slide the camera back in so you can always have the image upright. The eyepiece mount has a 2'' inner diameter so that it can fit almost every scope on the market. You can use the fine focus knob to get the spotting scope dialed in perfectly to the camera.

Cons
The batteries in my iPhone and iPad seemed to drain more quickly while streaming the TargetVision Hawk's live feed. This was to be expected.

Uses
The TargetVision Hawk can be used with one shooter or with multiple shooters. I see the TargetVision Hawk as being most beneficial for someone shooting alone.

Notes
I see the TargetVision Hawk as an entry level system for someone who doesn't want to spend the money on the TargetVision Long Range System (LRS). At a price point of $375, the Hawk is more affordable than the LRS. In my opinion, using the TargetVision Hawk would be beneficial to a shooter shooting at 100, 200, or 300 yards and doing load development. Beyond these ranges, the TargetVision LRS would be a step up.

The Future of the TargetVision Hawk
TargetVision plans to develop an injection molded housing, a camera that has a built in battery, and an autofocus lens to eliminate the need to use spacers. Targetvision wants to expand the App features to include auto shot recognition and automatic group sizing.

Q&A from the company's website.

What other types of scopes is the Hawk compatible with?
The Hawk is compatible with any scope (telescope, rifle scope, binoculars) that has an eyepiece with an outer diameter between 1" and 2". Our universal mount is designed to screw down onto the zoom knob of the eyepiece so that you can still operate the zoom with the mount on the scope.

Will the Hawk work with a straight spotting scope (horizontal eyepiece)?
Yes, as long as the outer diameter of the eyepiece is between 1" and 2".

Do I need Wi-Fi or cell service for the Hawk to work?
No, when you turn the Hawk on it creates its own Wi-Fi network that you connect to. There are no monthly fees associated with the Hawk either.

Is the Hawk weatherproof?
Yes, the Hawk is weatherproof but it is not waterproof. Rain is not a problem.

Which devices does the Hawk work with?
Our App works on any device that runs iOS or Android and it is compatible with phones and tablets. You can download our App from the App store or google play store.
