Even federal narcotics regulations are NOT trumped by state laws.....the feds just aren't choosing to enforce them is all.

There are thousands of examples of federal law the States choose to ignore...from divorce laws for military members to federal guns laws.........but all it takes is a dedicated federal officer, a federal prosecutor and a federal judge and a willing (or even unsuspecting) citizen to violate a federal law and you have a federal case....completely and absolutely out of the hands of State officials.
