I have been really looking hard at getting one of these units (I currently am running a BR2). The one thing that is holding me back a little is the way you have to scroll though the whole menu to alter the wind direction and speed. I could be wrong here but the increased ability of this unit also adds a little draw back in the speed department as compared to the BR2. The 2400 adds Coriolis and spin drift as well as ballistic jump so if you set it for say a 10mph wind at 90 degrees then it will be adding spindrift and possibly Coriolis(depending on direction of fire) to your wind call. There will also be aerodynamic jump added or subtracted from the elevation solution. The effect this will have will vary of course with distance, direction of fire and wind speed/direction. This unit with its extra inputs has the ability to give a decisively more accurate solution if accurate wind direction and speed are entered but if they are not (especially at longer distances) I believe you could actually have less accurate outputs than the BR2 ran with the zero .5 moa left to account for spin drift at long range technique. I know that these variables aren't huge but it does negate the advantage of Coriolis, spin drift and aerodynamic jump if correct wind speed and direction aren't entered and it messes with your wind calls and a little with your elevation. Sorry about the long winded post but could explain my thoughts any different. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Great review Andy.
