Just a couple of questions, did you open the port bigger yourself??? Also how do you like the left port right bolt?? I'm thinking about getting a couple savage target actions for a couple of builds I have planned. One being a 7mm WSM and am hoping the port is big enough. Thanks Jake

This is the larger of the two factory opening size. The smaller port size is approximately 2.750".
The design works well IMO.
I had bought this rifle for the same reason. Cheap to build into a caliber of your choice.
They have a great trigger, stock and action.
Just slip on a prechambered barrel and viola
