I bought a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in 2012 and immediately sent it to Lee Child in West Haven, UT where he trued the action, installed a Shilen select match stainless barrel in .308 (25.5" inches from receiver to muzzle), threaded the barrel, put a brake on it, and fluted the barrel. He fiberglass bedded it in a Bell and Carlson stock and put a Jewell trigger in it. I shot about 100 rounds while developing a load for it. She's a shooter. I did a rattle can paint job on it and I marred the muzzle brake trying to pop it loose. Also has a bigger bolt knob threaded on and a pic rail. Great gun, I just don't shoot it anymore. Asking $1200 $1050 shipped. Located in West Virginia.
