I've got a trip planned for the end of May and my question is 'Is there a way to get an rifle action 'not on the list' approved for import into the country for this trip. The reason is the rifles that I would like to use are based on custom actions (ie stiller, lawton etc.) that I can not find on the list here
Approved Firearms - New Zealand Police

ThanX in advance

My guess would be that if it was a complete firearm no one will look at what the action is made from, rather they will look at is it bolt action, semi auto, magazine capacity and does it have a pistol grip.

If you want to be really certain then get in touch with the New Zealand police or if you are going with an outfitter they should be able to sort out the paper work for you.

Hope this helps,

Stu.
