[QUOTE="Patriot007, post: 2083669, member: 111276"] That's another reason I'm supporting the GOA with all of my resources and spare time when permitted. I find that any one can be a supporting member regardless of your personal feelings for the management at both organizations. It's like this, over the last 6 years the only money that the NRA see's out of my pockets is every 3 or 4 months, I get a packet in the mail offering free NRA bling bling, or the higher end bling bling. I usually go for the higher end gear. ( I love the NRA BLING, Bling store ). At our gun range I'm known as one of the NRA guy's and I promote the NRA and gun safety. And yes I promote the GOA as well, only they get a quarterly check on a regular basis. Every other week I get a call from the NRA telemarketers and I take the time to stress my dismay with our upper management and make it well known that they will not get another penny from me in the form of a donation until Wayne is gone, and to date, not one of the callers has disagreed with my comments. Hey,, I got to get some self satisfaction for the five grand that I spent on membership upgrades. ( The Real Support ) Every time I hear what Troutslayer2 stated, out on the range from one of our new club members.,," ONLY armed with that information". I make it my goal that day, before that person leaves our range,,, that I have their $30.00 and a field out NRA membership card.( We have been known for waving the range fee that day in lieu of the NRA Membership fee.) It's better to be a part of both,,, than stand divided over BS. I joined the NRA to promote gun safety and safe hunting practices, and teach young kids the joy of shooting and gun safety.
