Hello Doc, This may end up being a rather lengthy post but please bare with me as I have a list of questions...well more like comments that need confirmation or denial; and since this product is still in "final" development stage per the FCC I will completely understand if there are some comments/questions that just cannot be answered right now. Also please feel free to reply via PM in regards to the military tactics/procedure questions. 1. Is AB or Garmin going to handle the marketing/sales to International Government Entities? 2. The "link" between compatible smartphones and the foretrex 701 that allows the unit to receive texts, emails, etc; is that OR can that be a secured link transmission. 2A. Can that secured link receive "messages" and alerts from TOC? 2B. Can each unit send secured messages to other units via secure channel? 3. Is the unit going to sync up with kestrel unit and/or military units like the ones from TPL? 4. Can I input data for numerous targets from same firing position? Sort of like digitizing my range card drawings? 5. Excuse my AB ignorance (I have never used it) but can I manually input ballistic data for a projectile that is not in the library? 6. The unit provides sun, moon, hunt and fish information and cycles but can it or will it be able to provide wind information and cycles based off past "readings" and future "alerts"? 7. Does Garmin "basemap" display topography? Well it wasn't too long of reply, but I have more for later :) Thanks, THEIS
