I ran an OCW workup today using 180g VLD hunting bullets over IMR7828 in a 26 inch 1 to 9inch Lilja barrel. Three shot groups at 100 yards.

Here is 70.0 grains



70.5 grains



71.0 grains



and 71.5 grains



Chrono work to follow with the MagnetoSpeed.

Glad to see it worked for you. 71gr is what I have worked up to (so far) in my Sendero SF...And it is also printing groups very similar to yours.

I am interested to see the MSV2 readings, to compare the velocities to mine, as well.

So what were the velocities?

Forgot to post them. Sorry guys. Had 2988fps at 80F and 2975 at 60F so far. SD less than 10 and ES less than 30 each time. Still shooting less than 0.5 MOA.

Shot 71.5g at 3002fps SD 11 ES 32 at 80F as well. Still below 0.75 MOA

Any of you tried the Sierra 160gr BTHP? I got 300 of them new in boxes for 40$

I used to shoot factory 160 Sierra Gamekings when Federal loaded them, but did not like how they performed on game. Went to 160 Accubonds when Fed started loaded them (this was all before I started reloading), then tried Bergers, and haven't looked back.

I tested some 160 Game kings this evening, using 75 G. of RL 25 in a remington 9 1/2 26 inch barrel. Started coal at 3.625 working up. Best accuracy was at 3.685. Touched the lands at about 3.695 coal the sd increased and lost some accuracy.
