Higher elevation groups

Their calculator says my 168s become 20% less stable at 1000 feet vs 7000 feet ASL. Both still stable values. Not sure there's a takeaway from the data. Don't overthink it too much on your 7 mag. A good hunting bullet in the 140 plus range that shoots sub moa will do the job as long as you do yours.
Yes the 168s are stable. I can shoot those here at 700 ft and they are good to go. Try the 175s. I talk to Hornady on the phone about the 175 ELDx and they said I need a 8 1/2 twist at this elevation because they will not shoot good groups. I will use the 162 ELDx this year and take the 175 Berger EH and shoot a couple of groups and see if that tightens up the flyer for the future....
