Found a 6 Creedmoor for too good a deal to pass up. My problem now is working up a load and finding starting & max data. I am planning on using this for varmints and deer hunting mostly. I have some Nosler 80gr BT Varmints and Berger 105gr VLD Hunting along with RL-17, Varget, and H1000 on hand. My thought is to use RL-17 for 105s, and Varget for 80s and maybe 105s. Does anyone have any experience with these setups. And no, I can't find H4350 around me lol. I'm less concerned about the 105s, but would really appreciate input on the varmint load.

I don't have any experience with 6mm credmoor but H4895 may be something to look into. Hodgdon doesn't list the Creed yet in their online load data, but do list the 6x47 Lapua which is slightly less case capacity.

I just bought a ruger precision rifle in 6 creed a few weeks ago to play with.it is my first time with a chassis and first time for 6 creed. And I love it it's a hoot to shoot.i have been shooting hornady factory ammo then reloading Berger 105 hybrids wii cci lrp primers with reloader 26 and it is a laser. haven't shot over my cheap chrono but drops indicate around 3150-3175 fps.this little ruger ain't half bad for the buck.if you can get your hands on r26 I would give it a shot I like it anyhow.

I just had a Kimber rebarreled for the 6mm Creedmoor. 8 twist Bartlein barrel, 23 inches. Working up loads now while I wait for the new 103g Hornady ELD-X to arrive. With the 90 grain Scirocco, I shot .3 inch groups with 42.5 grains R17. (3295 fps) With the Berger 105 VLD the best I've gotten so far is .7 inch groups with 42g H4350. (2951 fps)

I am using necked-down 6.5 Lapua brass with CCI450's. The same loads in Hornady 6mm Creedmoor brass did not shoot well.

The long range accuracy guys use H4350. I'm having one built and plan to shoot 105s.
You can load the heavy vlds in a short action because the case is shorter than a 243. Therefore the bullet can stick out further without jamming when you stack your mag.

I use both R26 and 4831SC in my 6 Creed with 105's. Both shoot best right around 45 grains of either powder.

I load 87 Vmax's with R-S Hunter and Win Staball. For the 105's, Barnes Match Burners, it's SW4350 and StaBall. Win Staball pops up on-line now & then so I am determined to get a good load with it. SW4350 & H4350 loadings are limited - saving these for 1,000 yard next month. I have a real good load with 107 SI MK's & SW4350. The 6mm Creedmoor has dominated my 6mm shooting putting my 6mm Rem, 6mm AI, & .243 to the back of the gun safe.
