On this day in history, Dec. 15, 1791, Bill of Rights ratified, codifying unique freedoms in new nation.

The first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution, collectively known as the Bill of Rights, were ratified following vigorous national debate on this day in history, Dec. 15, 1791.

Thank God!!! This is the most important document that sustains our freedoms.

If you have children, discuss what it means and why.

A bill of rights is what the people are entitled to against every government on earth." — Thomas Jefferson

It's a great history to read. These ammendments primarily were given to the people to protect them from an overbearing government, of which the founders had already experienced. No country in the world had the same guarantees until then. Thank you Patrick Henry for standing tall and getting support from Madison and Jefferson.

Just saw Sons of Liberty on streaming TV - a view of bad oppression back then. God blessed our nation with leaders like Washington & Jefferson and others. Read about their outstanding intellect, leadership & courage - enough of them in the works when needed. Have a cold & nice Sam Adam's beer now & then & appreciate what we have. Schools were and are largely mute regarding our national struggle.
