I was Turkey hunting with a friend before I decided to get a remote call, and the cover was not very good so we worked out a plan (I still get the blame for what happened). We picked a good spot that the turkeys frequented often. The cover was sparse so we decided to split up once the turkeys answered the first time. The plan was for him to go 50 to 60 yards away from the tom once he answered. This should make him come right by me looking for the hen. Immediately after he called we got an answer, so he jumped up and went away from the tom and found cover. The plan was working great and the tom kept getting closer and closer. I was busy watching for the tom and didn't see the bobcat sneaking up on my buddy so I did not warn him. The next thing I know there was quite the comotion. The bobcat apparently launched himself and landed on top of my friend. For a minute, I couldn't tell who was winning (I think they both wanted to get away from each other pretty bad). fortunately it was cold and we were wearing parkas and the parka took the brunt of the abuse. (I took the rest of it for days). I would say that I would have loved to see the entire show, But that would be mean. J E CUSTOM
