S1 Don't ever imply that "I" or 4 or 5 of my LR hunting or match shooting friends don't know how to adjust a scope of ANY manufacturer to our eyes. We probably have been doing it longer then you have. That test was done at 100 yards and if two LR scopes are laid side by side and one is clearer to 5 of us after EACH person set the scopes for their eyes, then something is wrong here. I know for a fact there are several who feel the NF is not as clear at 1000 yards either. Possibly your eyes are different then many shooters? I think we can agree to disagree on this subject and it doesn't make you right and me wrong and vice versa now does it? One thing for sure, you will never have to set a Leupold LR or the Mark 4 for a 1000 yard zero like you do with the NF to get to 2000 yds like the NF with the R2--as you mentioned. That's the problem with the R2. As far as dropping a rifle, none of them will hold up if dropped hard enough. My friends and I don't hunt men with our scopes either as you mentioned about the towel heads. You like NF and I, after having 8 NF scopes in the last two years, will take the Leupold LR anytime. I have replaced them with Leupold LR except for two NF that are here in the box. I try them from time to time but end up going back to the Leupolds. NF for you and Leupolds for me---Has a nice ring to it don't it? If the truth be known, quite possibly neither scope is the "BEST" scope available? Anyway have a good one. Keep busy and hope you have an extra reamer to send me. DC As an add on here----You still have an invite if your ever in PA to come to Williamsport (as long as your rifle is legal to our rules) and also to my property where we can reach out to 3000 yards if you wish. You will probably have to put a 2000 yard zero on that R2 to get to 3000 yards don't you think???? Hope your shooting a big 338, 408 Chy Tac or a 50 Cal though.
