Recently rebuilt my Remington 7mm STW. Bought the original version new in 2000 and hunted with it ever since. The barrel had finally gotten past my acceptable accuracy standards do I decided to reconfigure it with a Barlein 5R barrel, Grayboe stock and new bottom metal with accurate mags. Everything was then cerakoted matte black. Swapped the old glass for a Burris Fullfield IV 3-16x50 in moa. Rifle came in at exactly 10# which is right where I wanted it and shoots like a dream! First picture is the old version.

New to the 7mm STW but always wanted one. Rem 700 shooting 175 Eld-x with a Vx5.
Nice looking rig, and you're in for a treat, no tricks🎃. This round will amaze you, with what it can do, with minimal effort, usually speaking. If your into reading, sat down and poke through the annals, that started around 2010. Some great contributors, and knowledge to be had. Whitetail lightning will come mind, and just about any other thing. Good brass is the key, and sensible loading will get you where you need and want to be. Enjoy, and Welcome to the Brotherhood. It's a good ride.

Try 80 grains rl25, 145lrx, 215gmm spark plugs, and a mild crimp. I was getting 3466 fps, single digit es, and sd.
No whitetail will ever carry it. The LRX is a amazing bullet. Seat it to the top ring, mild crimp, nite nite! Good luck, and welcome to the Brotherhood!
